Dear Supporters,

We want to thank you so much for your wonderfully generous contribution to our May 8th Zakim Center Event. Without your support the Zakim Center could not provide much needed complementary services to cancer patients and their families.

As we all know, there are twists and turns in life and we want to take this opportunity to tell you about one. We have been informed that the national tour of “Love, Janis” has been cancelled. That’s the bad news
.

Here’s the good news! Our special reception at the extraordinary residence overlooking the Boston skyline will even be more spectacular. Join us as we raise our glasses in a toast to the incredible work of the Zakim Center as we hear Kelley Tuthill, WCVB reporter and breast cancer survivor; speak about her own experience at the Zakim Center.

And, although we cannot provide you with “Love, Janis”, we are still going to give you a show!!

The evening will continue as we move to the Cutler Majestic Theater for… “A RHYTHMIC JOURNEY - Music Heals the Soul” -- an exciting, high energy, unique exploration of the evolution of musical and rhythmic styles through live music, percussion, song and tap dance, performed by Boston's own Tezz Yancey. Tezz is a Berkeley and Boston Conservatory-trained musician and actor. In addition to starring in his own one-man show in Las Vegas, his portfolio includes: tapping with Gregory Hines, singing at Symphony Hall, performing in Andrew Lloyd Weber's “Starlight Express” and Clint Holmes's Broadway-bound musical "Just Another Man," and touring in Asia and Europe. His debut CD, "Moments of Clarity", features him on multiple instruments. His performance will indeed – heal your soul!!

We so look forward to having you join us on May 8th!  Please feel to call or email us at 617-977-9779 or joyce@zakimcenterevents.com for any questions.

Sincerely,

Joyce Zakim, Linda Schwartz, Carol Kanin

Zakim Center Event Co-Chairs

P.S. Of course, if you would like a refund as a result of the cancellation of “Love, Janis”, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
